About Us
Welcome to John and Mildred Thoroughgood House and the On the Go Community Engagement Program!
Established in 2006, our mission is to support and empower individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities to thrive within their community through a person-centered approach.
With the help of trained, supervised, support staff, we promote independence while offering support in the areas of ADLs and IADLs. We support the stabilization and enhancement of individual's mental and psychosocial wellbeing with a gentle touch. We don't just make a difference in the lives of those we support; we ARE the difference.

We are proud of our enhanced safety awareness and extremely low level of serious incidents. This is possible because of the attention given by our staff to ensure the safety and wellbeing of each person who resides with us, which includes total supervision and care. We work as a team. We promote peer-to-peer and community integration activities such as visits to the local zoo, parks, movie theaters, malls local festivals and more! We use a person-centered approach promoting Dignity, Choice and Community.
